From super easy 15 minute quick breakfast recipes to longer more dedicated weekend recipes, all these healthy breakfast recipes are fulfilling and easy on the calories.

1. Nutella Baked Oats.
These rich and indulgent Nutella Baked Oats taste much naughtier than they actually are and they’re just a perfect chocolately breakfast treat. The Baked Oats are super high in protein thanks to fat-free yoghurt and eggs in the mix and provide you with a whopping 29g per serving. These oats can also be made ahead of time as Breakfast Meal Prep. They freeze really well and can easily be defrosted and reheated.
2. Marmite Mushrooms on Toast.
If you’re in need of a super quick and easy breakfast, these Marmite Mushrooms are a perfect early morning pickup. Super simple to put together with easy to find ingredients, this is a great twist on classic mushrooms on toast. The recipe is adaptable to many diets – you can swap out the bread for gluten free and use a dairy-free cheese. Plus this one’s on the table in less than 15 minutes.
3. Cheesy Bacon Flatbreads.
Deliciously savoury and perfect for a quick breakfast or even for lunch, these flatbreads could even work as part of a picnic. Super simple and versatile, these are low calorie and don’t scrimp on flavour. The recipe uses low fat cheddar but a more mature or different type of cheese would work too.
4. Breakfast Quiche.
This might be a ‘breakfast’ quiche but there would be nothing stopping you from having this with a big leafy salad for your lunch or with some light chips for dinner. There’s mushrooms and tomatoes in the recipe but you could use up any extra veg that needs using up in the bottom of your fridge!
5. Breakfast Bakes.
So quick and easy to make – these fulfilling little bakes are great for a quick and tasty breakfast. When watching what you eat, omelettes and scrambled eggs can get a little boring. These bakes are perfect for adding some variety.
6. Bakewell Baked Oats.
There can never be too many baked oat recipes – when baked, oats take on a cake-like texture that is tasty and unbelievably filling. These Bakewell Baked Oats don’t need to be reserved for breakfast, they work well as a dessert or at any time of the day.
7. Sweet Potato and Carrot Rostis.
Super versatile, these tasty Sweet Potato and Carrot Rostis are perfect for pairing with poached eggs and bacon and work well with scrambled eggs and smoked salmon. They’re not restricted to breakfast either as they would be great as a side for lunch or dinner.
8. Onion and Chive Potato Waffles.
A twist on potato waffles, these are low calorie and delicious topped with smoked salmon and a poached egg. As with many breakfast recipes, these potato waffles are so versatile you could serve them as an accompaniment alongside dinner or lunch.
9. Cous Cous Breakfast Cups.
Breakfast is no longer boring with these little low calorie Cous Cous cups. They are really easy to prepare and if you’re really organised, you could make them ahead and freeze them. Take a couple out of the freezer the night before to defrost and enjoy them in the morning as a quick, easy and fulfilling breakfast. The ingredients here include ham but if you’re a vegetarian, you could replace with extra veggies.
10. Strawberry and Vanilla Waffles.
A wonderfully sweet breakfast recipe – these waffles are crispy on the outside but fluffy and light on the inside. The good news is that you don’t even need a fancy waffle machine, just an inexpensive silicon mould. These waffles are shown with Strawberry and Vanilla toppings but you could try with your favourite fruit and flavour combinations.
